Is the tile guy coming to give you an estimate or does he think he is starting to install? You need to have a plan. Pick your favorite color from your idea books, then focus on that. Pick an overall style and choose a vanity and sink. Make a list and list the costs so you stay on budget and on track with your plan.

I'm new to this site, what shade of blue are you thinking of for the vanity? If you are looking at a dark shade like colbat blue, then I personally would do grey for the walls. I absolutely love the way blue and silver looks together. A blue tinted white for the trim, and a faded pale yellow for the shower. On the other hand if you want something like sky blue, a bright medium blue then I would do the walls almost a pure white. The trim a dark blue -,grey like thunder clouds. The shower a mid blue, or a very dark grey almost black. Now if you wanted a pale light blue like periwinkle, I would paint the walls a grey tinted white, the trim gold and do the little 1"x2" tiles that comes in square sheets. I would choose medium earth colored tiles. Can't go very dark with a pale vanity, bright trim and a semi neutral wall. Hope you might like one of my ideas 🤔

i am working on planning a bathroom remodel and have been researching a lot. A white bathroom is timeless and you won’t tire of it. If you want the blue vanity I would do white subway tile Make sure the floor and the tile complement each other and have the same undertone. There are several floor tiles out there that are timeless and choices depend on style of your house. Hope this helps. Feel free to ask questions. It’s overwhelming no matter how much time you have!

Have you seen your tile guy’s work. Sometimes during a bath remodel, the owner gets caught up with; color, size not realizing the installer has not worked with your tile. Is your guy certified?, not licensed, but certified.

Oh that’s smart, all this is so new. The Adjustor told me to wait and get quotes before moving forward. So I have time to look and research.

Yes, besides knowing how you want your bathroom, you need to make sure the person you hired is qualified for the job. Don't ask for just reference, but pictures of past work they did. Who ever hired them to do the work in the pictures those are the reference you want. Call them up and switch a small detail in the photo. Say they have pictures of sail boats on the wall. Ask where'd did you find that picture of the sunsets. If the reference you are talking to is real they will set you straight, but if you're dealing with a scam artist co partner that's where they will slip up. Good luck

Paint color idea? Still debating blue or gray vanity

I am concerned that deep dark gray accent stripe is so bold it’s commanding the room. Personally I’d go with a wall color that matches that dark grey so it doesn’t stand out as much as it is now. That would leave me with a white or gray vanity as blue just does not work with that dark gray accent stripe at all (but if you go gray it needs to be the perfect light grey and not dark). What is your countertop material?

First you need to be concerned he is certified so you don't wind up with the same problems again in a year or two. You want someone TCNA certified and before you concern yourself with how it looks, make sure you read through some of the threads here so you LEARN how to create a bath that will last.

Totally makes total sense! I haven’t purchased yet. Been looking up options. Suggestions :)

Also will be adding glass Doors

I personally would select a solid white top or similar to what I linked. You don't need a counter with a conflicting pattern.

This is kind of close to what I am suggesting for wall color (you would match your stripe). With a deep dark wall (great lighting is key) you can keep the vanity all white.

This is great! Thanks so much. Going with this light above vanity. Do you think I need additional.

If it were me, I'd re-read @cpartists brief comment. Then think about it. Then read it again. And then do what she suggests.

Mrs. S- I don’t understand. If someone sees something I should be concerned about then just say it. Thought this was about helping people out. Can we be straightforward? This is creating stress.

And since tiling is done you could post photos of the in process waterproofing that was done for people to comment.

we have an LED mirror very similar in size and style and it is not enough to light the whole room. We have an additonal overhead light that's got changeable color temperature and dimmable, and together those are enough for the small room. Just FYI

I didn’t take pics! Omg, I just trusted the process. But I paid for material and didn’t pay for anything to waterproof. I went through receipts. Shower pan is it. 😩

Also noticing where some grout is seeping under the gray accent wall... is this normal?

can you post a pic of the problem? What did they install behind the tile? Is it just wallboard, or something else?

Durock a cement board.. also shouldn’t the ceiling be tiled... he said i could put this light in shower. But now I’m second guessing everything, painted 7 different colors on my walls.
Trying to decide. I could never do this for a living. My brain doesn’t work this way 😩

You did not acknowledge the TCNA recommendation.

You may be too involved with design that you have overlooked the build.

I had never heard of Tcna till now.

To answer your question, I don't think a ceiling "needs" to be tiled unless you have a steam shower with the steam generator and all that. A recessed can in the shower isn't a bad idea. How big is the room?

    🙄😩😳

can you do a dark grey on the wall adjacent to the gray tile stripe, and then lighter gray everywhere else? I'd be concerned that this dark color is too dark for a bathroom

Put the paint chips - not actual paint - up to the grey striped tile. That will tell you which one matches the best. Or at a minimum take a photo that shows the above paint strikes with the grey wall all in the same shot. And yes dark grey walls can 100% work in your bathroom if the lighting is sufficient. You have half the room in mirror/vanity or light tile so it can use the dark color successfully if the lighting levels are up to par. That means recessed cans and/or vanity light in addition to the LED mirror light.

Have you gotten to the bottom of the waterproofing done in the shower?

I was told they used shower pan liner and used “ thick” material on wall. Basically what I understood was he went heavy on the adhesive... 😩 he said no need....
    nightmare.

    I’ll get measurements soon

Is this bath over a basement where you could monitor leaks?

    Yes!!!

For the wall color I would go with a crisp white, grey on the wall would darken the room up and the tile you've got going is too nice for it to not be the highlight of the room.
