I think the plant should be okay, the base of the leaves look healthy from what i can tell, the rest just got crispy and dry from too much sun. Bromeliads prefer bright indirect or dappled light, so a new location might be a good idea.

Might also want to unpot and check the base and roots to make sure the whole bottom of the plant didn't dry up

trim the dried part of the leaves. once it finishes blooming and the flower stalk darkens (usually 2 mo), watch for pups at the base. this looks like Guzmania 'Hope'.

the older plant declines after a few months anyway and new pups grow making a new plant. do not let it dry out. it grows best in warm humid environment. outside is good in bright light not direct hot sun. dappled moving light under trees is ok though.
