I have a cedar fence with pressure treated posts. It was stained originally 3 years ago...no idea the product. But, now I need to do something to continue to protect it so the wood doesn't crack, etc. The tri-color has totally intimidated me, and I should have thought of that when I was spending a fortune on the fence. Too late. Now I want to treat it will some kind of sealer, stain, ??? and am thinking just use a transparent product to boost whatever color is on the fence. I plan to power wash before the application. Two questions: 1) do you think this "color" solution will work? 2) what is best product to achieve my goal? This fence surrounds my entire house, except an open fence in front yard. I am in So Cal. [My fencing product company suggested SuperDeck by Sherwin Williams but it has not great product reviews].
