I would do shutters.

Different windows will require different treatments. In your kitchen (over your sink), I'd do a nice Roman blind in a fun print. You could also do a bamboo blind. I'd also do Roman blinds on the bay windows (photo below). The slider is difficult since you will be accessing it on the left so panels would get in the way. Perhaps a tailored valance mounted at the ceiling

do you HAVE to have something over the kitchen sink? seems like privacy isn't really an issue there.

if so, just do a simple solar shade. or a roman

for the bay you could do something like this (you'll need 3 separate blinds

Slider:

It really depends on what the style of your home is. With certainly I will say functional drapery panels on the slider. The bathroom and kitchen window would be great with shades, woven, fabric etc. Your challenge will be the bay because there is no soffit above the window or recessed casing around those windows in which you can mount a shade. Whatever you do there will likely need to the mounted on the ceiling portion of the bay. You could do drapery panels mounted on the outside of the entire bay as one option. Again depends on your style.

Design Girl I’m feeling ya a lot lately - I agree different windows need different treatments. You just completed a whole home remodel so put that icing on the cake and hire a good window pro. It will be $$ but well worth it.

We need coverings on the back window and door in the kitchen to block some of the sunlight coming in, not for privacy. Any suggestions for bedrooms? Stick with Roman shades, or something else?

So you have great views which you are now being told to cover 1/2 with shutters sorry I hate california shutters they block light and view and look too heavy in almost every setting. To control light and heat use solar shades they also allow you to keep the view and have privacy during the day. i mormally combine them with drapeds for evening privacy but I also used them with roman shades.
