The clump of Joan Senior looks so refreshing in this heat that it is my favorite. I like your red seedling clump too. Royal Occasion looks like a nice purple.

What kind of camera did you get? I am always looking for other people's thoughts on cameras. There are so many variables (lighting, position of the sun, camera settings, etc...) that it is difficult to decide on what camera is best for photographing daylilies. The next part of the equation is the computer monitor. I have decided that I will use whatever appears to give me the best representation of the flower as I see it.

I like the color of Royal Occasion, but for the WOW factor the clump shot of Joan Senior is excellent. Your phone camera did a good job on that one.....................Maryl

North Wind Dancer is very pretty. I like that deep purple of Royal Occasion. Nice bright seedling! Love the bouquet of Joan Seniors! Mine is blooming now as well but the flowers are more recurved, looks good either way I think.

I went for Panasonic again. DMC-zs50. I couldn't afford anything too expensive but wanted something with good zoom, video but especially quality still pictures. I read reviews on CNet and elsewhere, including on Amazon and B&H Photo & Video until I couldn't stand it anymore! Perhaps a dozen or more a day each day for many days. I re-read many too. While Canon had some of the highest scores, they had weaknesses I could not abide by, such as a slow shutter or poor quality in low light. Nikon too had these same weaknesses. Even the Canon I eventually bought and returned, which I got at a huge bargain, which had a new price way more than I could pay, was terrible in low light. Although it had great reviews, when I looked at the negative reviews, all the things I didn't like were listed.

I bought this one used on B&H as they really know and stand by even their used items. And they won't sell junk or abused. Don't try to buy from Friday evening thru Saturday, as they are Orthodox Jews and even their on line ordering is closed.

This is my third Panasonic and each one has been a joy. The first one wasn't so good with video, which I rarely use, but the last one was good at all things. So far in playing with it today, it seems top quality and mid range price, minus 100.00 since it was used.

Sounds like a good camera, good you found one to fit you. Joan Senior looks so good today, and my favorite
