What state are you in and what's your closest city?

I believe it's the same grass I've been trying to identify.

I think it's centipede, but don't know for sure. The grass on the left is growing in an old roadbed, and the right is crowding out my zoysia in one spot in my lawn. Could you pull a single stolon out for comparison?

Are you trying to get rid of it or keep it?

By the way, I'm in Alabama, and I see you're in Pennsylvania? May be two different grasses.

@john_al I think I may keep it. I am located in TN. I can't pull out any pieces of it at the moment. Pretty bad storms today but it definitely looks like the one on the left. Thanks for the info!

That was someone else in Pennsylvania, I now see where you're in Tennessee. It may be the same grass. Those storms passed through here after lunch today (Sunday). I'm attaching another image that may help you.

This came from Walter Reeves' website. I actually believe that I have some of both. I think now the one on the left is St. Augustine, and centipede on the right (in the first image I posted). Maybe someone will step in here and help us out.
