I'd do the garage door in the same color as the siding, with black as a second choice. I think your landscaping looks good. I might divide some of your plants to fill in the space so you don't need mulch. I'd consider pruning some of the lower branches from your trees.

agree with keeping garage doors the same color as siding and foundation. Black will look like a black hole, white is okay too.

I'd separate and use what you already have, great time of year to do that, you'll be all set in the spring.
