Do you grow Laura Harwood? Cradle of Bethlehem reminds me of her. Very striking.....I've grown Evening Enchantment here, but it really was too hot for it to look it's best so I passed it on. It looks pretty good for you..............Maryl

Yes, Maryl, I agree. Cradle of Bethlehem looks a lot like Laura Harwood in color. Evening Enchantment is grown in partial shade so looks good for most of the day.

I forgot to add that in our heat which is headed toward a heat index of 110 this week, the one plant that thrives and laughs at it is lantana which is why I grow lots of it!

I know I read somewhere that Cradle of Bethlehem is a child of Laura, but I see that is not so. My imagination I guess. I really like them both so much. I love Stargate Portal too.

Your Forsyth is my favorite, love the pink edge. I love lantana too. I have Two pots on my patio with lantana. Too bad it’s an annual here : (

Nancy. I have Laura Harwood and Cradle close together and they do look much alike and bloom at the same time.

Sherry, I love lantana for a summer plant. The one above is an oldie that gets about 6 feet tall and even wider than that-a monster. I have some of the newer smaller ones in other places. I have only lost one-even the newer ones-and wouldn’t you know it was my favorite color?!!

Kate, Megillah and Royal Girls are the ones that catch my attention most. Very pretty.

Cradle does too. It really does look a lot like Laura Harwood. I've noticed that generally there are many daylilies that look alike in the world of Daylilies.

I like Lady Duck. What a great name. Evidence Of Aliens is one of my favorites here. Is it new in your garden? I am not a fan of Laura Harwood but Cradle Of Bethlehem looks very good.

Julia, yes, Evidence of Aliens is new-sorry-realized later I did not indicate which ones were new! Do you still have this one? I decided this spring I wanted to add more Norris intros. They have all performed well for first year plants.

I've grown Laura Harwood and she did not like me one bit. Aside from her blotchiness, those darned canoed petals drove me nuts. Must be my climate. I sure liked the pictures of her and others grow her well so it must be me. I was thinking Cradle might have her looks just not her temperament. Megillah looks really good as does F. Garrett Mason. Cradle of Bethlehem does strongly resemble Laura Harwood. Sherry Laura has the dratted Canoe petals at the very fist here and they if blooms properly in all its loveliness and for quite a while. Kate, I also like Bouncing Gazelle. As for Lantana. Not only do they winter over here, but they can be somewhat invasive as well. I have grwn them, but not now. And this week's heat is more than necessary for sure.

I see that Megillah refers to one of five books of the Hebrew scriptures. Heat definitely takes the color out of a lot of daylilies quickly.
