I inherited this plant when I moved here in January. This plant wasn't in the greatest shape. A bit scraggly but I just noticed this happening on the left side. I gave it a bit of azalea fertilizer in spring and watering weekly. Oddly, I've been supplementing water on the right side but the problem is on the left.

Did I cause this in two months time of watering??

It's in a full sun location in concrete hard clay soil. It has fuscia pink flowers and in winter the leaves were burgundy.
