Catching up again.

Catching up is all I seem to do. We have been really busy here. Hybridizing is on-going with hopes for some seeds this year. We brought home a bunch of new plants and had to find space for them. We brought home 8 club plants and then some more returning club plants. And we are supposed to be downsizing!

Here are some things blooming today.

I guess I'm going to have to get into the garden earlier if I want to see Pigment of Imagination before its color starts to change. It definitely had some blue tones at about 10 a. m. this morning.

Bird's Eye View is really shaping up.

Buddy's Pinkie was beautiful (and quite large) today.

Beastmaster is shorter than we like and often splotchy.

As you might guess, Dave Chase Golden Glow is a favorite of Bob's.

Explosion in the Paint Factory had its first flower open today.

Four Beasts in One is showing a pattern today.

Heavenly Christmas Cactus is doing well.

Jungle Fury is a bright daylilies, but the flower is not very big and it is short.
Puffer Fish is really short this year. I think it needs to be moved.

Transylvanian Tango is one that I considered getting rid of. It must have heard me because it has been prettier this year (still sort of splotchy, though).

Yauhannah Lake was a bonus several years ago. It's one of our best pinks.

This is a small-flowered seedling we are considering introducing. It is Little Red Bantam X Lady Stephanie Victoria Redding. The scapes are well budded with flowers about 4 inches across.

Bird's Eye View is one of my favorites today. Does the name imply it has tall scapes? Yauhannah Lake is a very pretty pink, and it looks like it has quite a few buds. I grow several of the hybridizer's UF and like those Nice pattern on Four Beasts in One. The little red seedling is a pretty one!

Out of all the lovely daylilies here I’m liking your red seedling, the last photo. That bloom would add contrast here, I love it.

I like the pink color of Yauhanna Lake. The red seedling really seems to glow.

Debra, Bird's Eye View is registered at 35 inches but hasn't reached that here yet. However, it was only planted in the spring of 2019. Culver's daylilies usually perform well for us so I imagine it might get taller.

Yauhannah Lake is really pretty and I like your seedling. Of course, I am a fan of Explasion in the Paint Factory. Mine bloomed its last one yesterday.

Lots of really nice ones. Let me start with your little red seedling. I like it. Any idea how colorfast/sunfast it is?.................Funny how daylilies will often seem to hear the bell tolling on their demise and then perk right up. I could see if it was always blotchy you wanting to get rid of it, but clear as it is in your picture I like Transylvanian Tango..........Wow on that orange of Bobs. Nice complimenting red bloom peaking up on the bottom right side of the picture..........I also like Pigment of the Imagination just about at the color you photographed. .........Maryl
