Does it need to be bi-color? Since it's a powder room all over strong color is fine, and I think better than the split colors. The b/w photo is good, would you consider replacing the scroll on the wall with a large framed photo that works with it?

Thanks! Yes I was planning to put art or photography instead of the scroll and definitely want just one color. The mirror is glued to the wall, trying to figure out how to update it without having to pry it off and start over.

Maybe metallic paint around the frame, with some kind of copper tone to it? The faucet is a very dark bronze, toilet handle chrome and doorhandle the original brass levers from 1980!

And the dark brass over the toilet storage thing is mostly just to take up space in this rather awkwardly sized and laid out powder room bathroom

Since you have creams and light sage in other areas of your home, I would use a deeper sage color for the powder room. I think a more neutral green would be better than the teal/aqua for the style of the room. Try a deeper color of the sage you already have.

If you can remove the old frame, the mirror might be easy, check out Mirror Mate.

You measure (twice!) then order the frame fit to size. When it is delivered, you put it together with corner pegs and glue (supplied). Clean the old mirror, and the frame sticks on it. Easy, and it looks like you hung a framed mirror. Prices very reasonable.

If not, you can tape everything off really well and paint the frame. Gold, black, what ever you like. Just be sure to sand the old frame really well to prevent peeling.

I am not fan of colorful walls. I prefer earthy tones instead, like taupe, it looks more sophisticated and rich.

I too would try to pick up the color in your vanity. As it’s a powder room I would go darker to add some drama.

We are doing a turquoise/teal in our bathroom. When I googled teal bathrooms I didn't see a single picture I didn't like. I like the deep teal that was rendered above but would consider it for all walls, not just an accent wall.
