my best advice is to snip off the ugly leaves... and lets see if there is actually anything going on ...

the damage could be months old.. and you presumably fixed it.. so lets see what happens ..

i dont understand how part of the pot can be moist.. and half dry.. but short of tipping it out of the pot and looking at the roots.. i dont know what to suggest .. other than to flood the pot to even it all out.. but you already suspect over watering .. so what would that accomplish.. real catch 22 here ..

how aobut a pic of the current new growth ... that were you usually look for current condition .. rather than the old leaves .. which could have been harmed months ago ..

if thats its current location .. and not just moved there for the pic... then for sure.. its not getting any light... and that is not going to work out well ... do you have a window to move it near???.. and if you do.. dont put it into direct light.. until you harden it off ...

did you repot it.. or did it come all set to go??

Overwatering and much too far from a light source. This plant will do best right up in front of your brightest unobstructed window. No blinds or shades.

These scheffs grow like weeds if given the right conditions. They’re easy plants if you give them what they need.
