I'd worry that deer would eat them in those woods. But it would be pretty to have them there.

I forgot about the deer since I don't have a deer issue. I'm sure they live there and they would enjoy the hosta. I have rabbits galore but this year Bear the cat has brought home 6 babies for snacks. We had a discussion about yes, you can eat the baby rabbits, just don't bring them to the house. I managed to get one and let it go in a field 2 miles away. Yesterday he brought home a field rat and I am happy for him to catch, bring home and eat any of those he wants. Now if he could just reduce my squirrel population...

You are hosta addicted if you:

1. go to the garden forum, hostas, every day for hours

2. you take photos of all your hostas planning out how to best post them on forum

3. You take photos of others hostas planning—see #2

4. You look through vendors catalogs just for fun

5. you read every single post from dan’s seedlings and immediately wanted each and every one of them for your yard even if you have no space at all

6. You are constantly trying to ID your NOIDs

7. you are constantly trying to help others ID their NOIDS

8. You are obsessed with killing slugs and cutworms

9. You plan digging up more and more grass to plant hostas

10. last but not least, you hang on all of kens words as if they were gold coins spilling out of his mouth!!! hahaha ;-)

11. you constantly talk about hostas to anyone who will listen

#12 If you go out on a regular basis to clean the "litter" from the trees that get stuck in the base of the leaves! Come on.....you know you do it!
