Ikea or Homestyler

My remodels always always always start with accurate measurements, graph paper, pencils and erasers, and a copy machine. Draw out the space on graph paper, make six or ten copies, start drawing. Draw a floor plan with all details and a wall plan with all permanent features.

Super important for kitchens:
Can all doors/drawers of appliances and cabinets open at the same time? Not that you would actually be doing that, but you can be assured af proper clearances, especially with door/drawer anndles.
Can you easily access storage areas in the kitchen, corner cupboards, deep recesses, being able to put dishes away from the dishwasher without having to open and close throughout process.
While layouts are critical, so is the elevation. Good luck with your project.

I am a graph paper girl too and IMO you need to begin with a list of wants and needs in 2 columns .I actually do not like apps and only use one when a client has difficulty with visualization after seeing all my drawings,. You can try Ikea I find it awkward to use. Make sure all the base cabinets are drawers IMO most at least 30” wide 2 deep drawers and a split 2 at the top that are shallower . I start either under the window for the sink or in the corners that really depends on the space . Make sure you have chosen all your appliances before starting too.I love galley kitchens which is what you have. You do realize that once you start on this journey all the floors will need to be done and your lighting is horrible and will need a total upgrade. I think if you have never done this before you really need a good independant KD to walk you through the process. I guess my first question would be is this the space or can it be enlarged ?
