I know absolutely NOTHING about lighting and need to provide the layout tomorrow to the electrician.

My initial ideas are in red.

We aren’t doing pendants on the island- just three recessed lights.

The hood has a light, so I’m not sure if I need another recessed light over it?

The hood over the stove top has open shelving on either side (the whole opening is 72”)

The wall with the fridge also has two small pantry cabinets and the microwave oven combo. Are two lights sufficient?

The third wall has 21” base cabinets and 12” wall cabinets. I assume that needs three lights?

The kitchen has a ton of natural lighting thanks to the large window and the sliding doors and windows in the connected dining room, but I definitely want to make sure there is enough lighting.
