Take my poll re: media room layout!

My bathroom flooded leading to an unexpected reno of my neighboring media room. The plumbing issue has been fixed so I have no concerns for future issues.

Normally, I’d plan out exactly what we’d do before beginning any project but since this is an insurance loss, things are happening fast and I need suggestions on where to place our sectional (110” wide) and 70” tv (measuring 36” h x 62” w), please!

The paneling will be removed so we’ll be able to add wiring for the surround sound and improve the lighting. With this blank slate, we want to consider all alternate seating options and then plan lighting and speaker placements.

The tv doesn’t fit mounted above the fireplace.

If we place the tv in the middle of the window wall, it’ll partially cover the windows and any tv stand below it will block the heaters.

If we place it on the wall with the black shelf/entrance, our backs will be to the fireplace.

If we place it on the long, uneven wall (where it has been), the sofa is in front of the heaters. We’ve had a sofa table behind it as our excuse to have it off the wall but then I feel like we lose usable space.

In this project, we’d like to incorporate a desk or study area. I figured we could possibly build a custom desk/storage unit on the uneven wall with no heater if we moved the tv/couch around.

The room is 22’ L x 19’ W.

What would YOU do?

Window wall
Fireplace wall
Entry wall
Uneven wall with no heateds
