I have a celebrity tomato plant in a 5 gal fabric pot, it’s been doing great so far. However, the first tomato that grew (that’s much larger than the others), suddenly started developing large sunken holes around the sides. It started as one small bruise and now I have three big ones around the side? it’s my first time growing tomatoes bI’ve heard of BER but excuse my inexperience but I thought it would effect only the blossom end? My tomato seems to be darkening only the sides so I’m not sure if I should diagnose it as BER? I’ve attached some photos of my sole diseased tomato, any help in identifying and any remedies is greatly appreciated!
