It is a basement, so there is more flexibility, as far as seating. In a living room, even if it could hold two sectionals, it would generally be better to mix up seating. But a basement is a basement.

Also, you need to make sure the size/measurements/dimension of these pieces fit and work well for the space intended.

Color and rug style wise, it would be complimentary. The rest depends on compatibility of the sectionals and chaise, layout/how both areas feel connected, additional furniture; ie side and coffee tables working together and suggest consistency in that regard. Rooms below work well regarding style and how connected they feel by layout and accessorizing.

I actually never like sectionals for seating so 2 would not ever work for me IMO everyone lined up on a sectional with no arm rests is just plain uncomfortable.I have a large LR where we entertain oftne with 2 sofas 4 chairs and a bench the seating can be rearranged easily and I also move it to make room for out chrismas tree The bench divides the 2 seating areas but allows conversation all over the space. We do not have a TV there but a huge FP

Thank you. I have a large great room on the first floor with two sofas, two club chairs and two benches. This is the basement. Its used about three times per year for about 18 people. I find that people gather at the ends and the corners of the sectionals.

We use the basement on major holidays (Easter, Thanksgiving, Christmas) for overflow when the upstairs is full - there is a full bar area as well.

You could probably add a couple of low profile swivel chairs to the sectional grouping, as well.
