Cabinet paint on windows?

I currently have a maple problem I am dealing with. we have a house full of it, most of which is in good shape. However, the kitchen cabinets and marvin integrity windows are in horrible shape. I was hoping to restore them but am thinking paint is the only way to go. I have done a lot of research and think I am going to go with Renner wood coatings sprayed onto the cabinets. I am also wondering if the same paint can be applied to the actual windows? We need something quite durable as we have harsh weather here in Fargo, ND and I worry just an interior high gloss won't do the trick. Any thoughts? Paint recommendations?
