How soon is too soon to repot a fiddle leaf Fig?

I recently got a fiddle leaf fig about a week ago and I noticed it’s roots were coming out of the holes. one of the roots is very long but my plant is growing a new leaf. Should I wait a month to repot It or how long should I wait before repotting it?

If it's growing well I'd leave it for now. Re-potting will cause it to pause growing, and perhaps loose a few leaves. However, if re-potting includes placing it in a larger container, and you do it right, it should resume growing pretty quickly with the extra space. For the record I don't have any FLFs, only common figs.
