Efflorescence on Kitchen Tile

Hello Everyone,

Does anyone know if this is efflorescence on my kitchen tile? It is not powdery but hard when I touch it with my fingers. I also tried scrubbing it off with vinegar and managed to get some of it out and now it looks like this. I also notice some of this in my bathroom tiles.

Is your question about the "grout" or the actual "tile"?

Looks like a porous grout was used and it is now dirty. Use the following: 2 cups hot water + 1/4 cup OxyClean Powder. Soak grout & tiles with this solution for 30 minutes (keep wet) then use grout brush to clean. Amazing how well this works. I bought a "grout cleaning brush" and "long handle" from janitorial supply place that works great and easier on your back than crawling around on your knees. This will clean the tile & grout. May need to repeat. After the grout is clean and dry through & through, put at least 2 coats of a good sealer. Miracle 511 is a good sealer.
