Thursday morning's blooms

I hope this post shows up today, as I posted something yesterday and it has yet to show up. It happened to me earlier this week as well. I posted something and 15 hours later it showed up.

Here goes:

Here are some Bennett intros to get things started:

SONNY JAY: A nonpink intro that has a gold edge. Not a common sight in diploids.

JUBILEE BALL: I love this one because all of the blooms face out. I also love the shade of pink.

IRON WARRIOR: This was the star this morning. As I was walking about the garden this morning and taking pictures. I glanced above JUBILEE BALL and saw this massive pink bloom that I don't ever recall seeing there before. I thought it was a seedling of mine, because the seedling bed is not far from there. I quickly ran over there and saw that it was IRON WARRIOR. I planted it in that spot last fall, rescuing it from the pot it was growing in. It is a rather large bloom.

MYSTERY OF THE AGES: I love this plant. I grow several Emmerich intros and some of them sulk when moved or divided. This one takes it all in stride. It is well branched and has numerous buds. The blooms are flawless after the first two blooms.

EVENING EYESHADOW: Not a fast increaser, but is a good looking flower.

SOME SWEET DAY: Never reaches its registered height, but does not bloom in the foliage. Pat Stamile said that he used this one with his edged purples to get them out of the foliage.

ULTIMATE ILLUSION: Only its second year. It is different looking.

SWEET ISABELA: Still in a pot looking for a home in the garden. I think I will have a spot in the fall, as I am trying to sell and remove some from the garden.

MOMENTUM: Supposedly a good breeder. I will have to think about this one.

SEARS TOWER: It is quite tall this year and well branched.

VENUS FLYTRAP: Shorter than years past.

I see that Iron Warrior is also a Bennett.

Lot s of nice ones on this post! Evening Eyeshadow is my favorite, but Jubilee Ball and Mystery of the Ages are not far behind. Iron Warrior is a pretty one too! I'll check back later for the ones in the comments.

Beautiful! I love Jubilee Ball and Evening Eyeshadow. That is one dramatic bicolor. Sweet Isabela is always a favorite here.

Bob keeps telling me that Momentum is a good breeder, but I just don't like the flower. When I don't like the flower, I don't pay any attention to it and so I don't use it in breeding. Hence, Momentum will be leaving the garden.

Venus Flytrap is lovely. Ours is also shorter this year than it has been. Actually, ours is on the mend. One year it was glorious and the clump was quite large. I thought we needed to divide it, but we didn't get time. The next year it had gone into a decline and was half the size it was the year before. It's beginning to do better. It's funny how some can be in the same spot undivided for years and do fine and others take this nosedive. I have seen them do it after I loaded them down with pods, but I don't know what Venus Flytrap's issue was. I could never get it to set a pod.

So weird, but it did happen to me last year too, post showing up after several hours (after I retyped and reuploaded everything again).

Both Jubilee Ball and Iron Warrior are such pretty pinks. Nice clump of Mystery of Edges. Evening Eyeshadow looks like a great bitone. Really I love every one you posted here.
