Thanks Ken, that's one of the better pics of me I've taken. The other night around 2:30 AM I went outside in my underwear. (were you there? Did that inspire your comment?) I forget what I had to do that was so important, but the wife was not pleased when I told her. Perhaps she wanted to charge admission?

Where did you find round stepping stones anymore? I've looked everywhere and have had to start making my own in rubber feed pans.

They came with the house we bought 5 years ago. They are nice and thick. I will certainly appreciate them more now. That is the largest LPP I've ever seen. Needs something for more perspective. The flowers were about 4 feet high. Thanks, I did some clean up for those "ugly" pics too.

Thanks for the well wishes. I've been known to get so distracted with picture taking, etc that I miss the "moment". I am definitely more excited than nervous now.

I noticed you in the pic as well.....every now and then, I take a photo and don’t realize my glass reflection of myself or my shadow!! Lol......lol

steve..only you see unfinished..or weeds etc..as ken says "no one cares"..the real gardeners see a great collection of hostas..an eye catching special one..one they don't have but wish they did..have a great time hosting your garden tour..

Your tour will be a hit. Your gardens are beautiful. If anyone mentions weeds , hand them the gloves and tell them to get weeding. You have great plants and I am certain your yard will be the talk of the town

We only had 5 people show up but I still enjoyed showing off the garden and answering questions and doing some Hosta talk. I didn't have many Hosta labelled so it was funny whenever the society president wanted to know the name of something and where I got it, it was inevitably Naylor Creek. I suppose the more unusual, lesser known Hosta I have come from there. They posted pics on their facebook page - Central Ohio Hosta Society. I took a few to share with you too. Welcome Hosta Society

After here people went to Gale Gardens in Zanesville and I followed a bit later.

From here people went to Tom's Ice Cream Bowl, but I went shopping at the daylily place about 30 minutes away. I picked up 6 new ones thinking I didn't have much room, but I could have easily planted twice as many. I added Green Rainbow not in bloom based on seeing it a couple places but not for sale. I also added a $10 off Upgrade (thanks Sherrygirl) that only had a few wispy leaves due to some columbine encroachment. It ended up with a nice root ball and 4 growth points. Should be happier in its new digs soon. Also picked up these. Honey Crunch Cupcake as unusual (to me) as its name and only $15 DF so I couldn't pass it up.

I also picked up Ram a large frilly yellow.

The end - this may be my next project area. Very tough to grow stuff in this Maple root desert. The canopy stops a lot of rain and the roots suck up all that remains.

Ok Steve, what’s up with those crazy Ohioans?? Only 5 showed at your beautiful garden?? Well, their loss!! I am glad it was a good experience for you. I know how it feels when just one bypasser compliments me on the garden out front. Will you be able to be on the tour next year? The day lilies will only add to the gardens appeal!

steve..I'm sure you thought of this but it's a fact..attendance for all events during the health crisis is lower..I'd love to show my garden to anyone that wants to see it!..garden talk is fun..

Lovely garden--great hostas! It's a shame that only 5 people showed up to see your yard. I don't see any weeds--what are you talking about? Too bad that I'm up in the Cleveland area or else we would have made it 7. it's always fun to see what other people have done--then we get home and get depressed looking at our yard. Of course, if we lived nearby we would be able to bring over several large daylily clumps so that the ones you have wouldn't be lonely, lol.

Oh my, I am afraid I slighted the Ohioans totally forgetting about the pandemic!! I guess when I get online I forget all about it! :-)

I feel for you, all that prep and only 5 people. But your garden looks beautiful, and now you can enjoy coasting a little bit. Best part of a walk is having it over and everything in perfect shape.

The last time ours was on a garden walk it was 99 degrees and humid. We had maybe 20 people, and one group was a woman with two kids and her mother. They had a flat, and my poor husband had to change it since nobody was open on Sunday afternoon. No jack and the underside was rusted through, so he had to build a support for our jack or it would have torn a hole in the car. We thought we had the worst day ever for a garden walk - and the next Sunday our little town got hit by a tornado.

Wow, is that why it was the last time? I'd be hard-pressed to have another one after that.

Just saying Steve, you can never have enough hostas and daylilies.
