@Zalco/bring back Sophie! - I understand that the Gag doesn't chip, but it is way too modern for my kitchen design. I wish they made more than one model. Thanks for your response.

@Design Girl did you end up going with the M Series? I am considering these as well and wondering about the chipping…

@thekeller4 - I did. However, they are not installed yet. My kitchen is being demolished this Wednesday. I have the ovens in my possession (they took 7 months to get) but obviously can't comment on the chipping. Funny that I was at my son's and we needed to clean his Bosch oven in his new home. We turned on the self cleaning and he and his fiance didn't like the smell. We watched videos on how to clean your oven with baking soda and vinegar. I might give it a try.

@Design Girl, I’ve heard that is actually the best and safest way to clean your oven. I have had actual technicians of different oven brands tell me that we should never be using the self cleaning mode, as the oven just gets too hot and eventually destroys some of the electronics. I have been really wanting the Miele double ovens to go with the steam oven, but just discovered my Miele double oven order was “stopped” and I am now forced to pay $800 more for the new Miele line that has come out. I also qualify for the Wolf discount if I do the Wolf Rangetop with the Wolf double ovens. Too many decisions!! Any idea if the Wolf double ovens are comparable to the Miele double ovens?

@thekeller4 - I went to about 4 or 5 independent appliance stores (not big box) and they all told me the Wolf was the best oven for baking (which I do a lot of). Miele is another great brand, and I would have had no issue purchasing them. However, I was going for a less modern look and really wanted the knob controls, so I went with the Wolf. It stinks that your order was cancelled, but if you like the looks of the new Miele line, I might just go ahead and get them.

@Design Girl, thank you! I was initially just trying to coordinate with the Miele steam oven as I definitely wanted that item from Miele (larger and plumbed in water). However, I’m beginning to think that maybe it’s not a huge deal to mix and match products a bit. I’m still a little undecided, but glad to hear you’ve heard only good things about the Wolf M Series. You can do with or without knobs, is that correct?

@thekeller4 - I am a knob person - I must have them. I find that I like the look (so for aesthetics), but also find them much easier to use.
