We just inherited a propane fire pit/fire table. Maxes out at 37k BTUs. We've started using it, and notice a strong smell of propane (rotten eggs) when it's operating. Also, it's making kind of a "whomping" noise periodically. It came with lava rock, but we just removed the lava rock and filled it with fire glass. The fire glass is at a max of 1/2" about the jets FYI. Has anyone ever experienced this before? The previous owner is out of town, so we can't ask them. Thanks!
