A few worm bin questions

I've had my worm bin for a few months now. Worms are starting to have lots of babies, so I think the population is increasing. Although usually when I open the bin I don't see too many worms. I think most of them are in the middle or more towards the bottom, because it's so hot out right now. When I open it at night there is a lot more activity though. Probably because it's cooler, but not sure. This bin is in my garage, btw.

Anyways, I just wanted to ask about citrus and onions. When I first started my bin I was advised not to add this, but now that the bin is established and thriving is it ok to add this? We eat a lot of oranges in my house and I'd love to add them to the bin. We also use limes occasionally (margaritas usually lol). Also, it it alright to add moldy food (fruit or bread that has gone bad for instance)?
