Torn and drooping elephant ear

last modified: 6 years ago

I just got a baby elephant ear plant with three leaves. Repotted yesterday. stems are Looking good and healthy. I was advised to keep it in the shade and I want it outdoors. My yard doesn’t have much shade, so I tried making a quick shade. worked until my dog knocked it over and the shade cover landed on the plant and made some tears in the leaf. The stem looks great but the leaf is turning brown in the ares that tore and the leaf itself is so droopy. Will the leaf survive? Or should I cut it off and let it grow back? Will it grow back?
