The comment total goes to the top, but there's no like button there.

I mean the discussion section. So when somebody goes to the page "New England Gardening" this is the first thread they'll see. This way your warning gets the most possible viewership.

I understand what you're saying, but I have no interest in gaming the system to give priority to my thread. Other threads are also important and people will, and should, read what they're interested in.

This isn't about you or your ownership over the thread. Be that as it may, this is becoming a disagreement. I thought, before, that I was just explaining what I meant.

So, I might just keep sending this to the top because the message: Don't plant these unsolicited seeds from China is extremely important (for a number of reasons). Or I may forget about it, because I have better things to do than argue with you about this, Karen.

There's an article in the NY Times: U.S. Identifies Some of the Mysterious Seeds Mailed From China and also USDA: USDA Investigates Packages of Unsolicited Seeds from China

The USDA says:

"At this time, we don’t have any evidence indicating this is something other than a “brushing scam” where people receive unsolicited items from a seller who then posts false customer reviews to boost sales. USDA is currently collecting seed packages from recipients and will test their contents and determine if they contain anything that could be of concern to U.S. agriculture or the environment."

I hope this is just some advertising scam and the seeds are just assorted common plants, but there's too much chance for introducing unpleasant invasives.
