Hi Everybody,

I've been locked down the entire time w/ a broken sewing machine, am looking for suggestions to buy a new one.

I've been using an old Singer 347 given me for High School Graduation (I'll be 64 next month). While I can get it fixed, it'll cost me several hundred dollars in transportation alone, before the repair. So it's making more sense to buy a new one which I could just have delivered while we're still in the Pandemic.

So ... looking for a home sewing machine, w/ good basics, maybe a few fancy stitches & the ability to do some free motion quilting as well. Suggestions pls?

Am hoping I can get something for around $500, is that realistic? Pls share some recommendations. I've got to do something soon, am really starting to go batty for lack of Quilting. In the first couple of months, I hand basted 4 different projects & decided I better stop. Also ran out of hanging space & design walls to work from.
