Hello, I have a begonia plant and I’m worried. I first noticed the leaves with holes In them and then brown wilting. I found that the soil has springtails but that’s shouldn’t do that kind of damage. I have studied it for bugs on the leaves, nothing. I did put up sticky paper and did catch some flies but not a lot.Now I’m thinking a disease? I transplanted the plant with new soil with perlite To get some more aeration and to try and lose the springtails. Springtails are back (I live on an island so it’s a bit wet here, so could be the environment), and the leaves continue to look worse. I started giving them A spray of cedar oil to try and stop the bugs, if that is the problem. Then I started noticing the stems- one stem looked like it was cut into and today I looked at it and the stem was cut through and the leave capsized. Now another stem shows the same pattern. What’s happening??? Help!
