Joanie, do you have a Ferguson's near you? They usually have a nice selection and lots of displays.

I skew modern also. Some places I like to look are cb2, lumens, lightology, ylighting, design public, 2modern, danish design store. But you should give us more of your wishlist so we can all have a quest.

Allison, thanks for sharing the Mitzi site. I’m not in the market for pendants but love this.

Oh, check out Lambert et Fils. Do you remember Sochi, she turned me on to them.

Thanks for the great suggestions. Right now Im leaning toward just a white globe but only because I haven’t found anything else that turns me on.

What do you have now, that you are tired of and want to replace? Describe your kitchen. What shape fixture would bring what you want into the kitchen? Is the right shape soft sphere? Do you need a sphere to offset angles? I tend to be drawn to straight edges so lots of times I need to add a curve somewhere in a room to make it work.

I have three builder bell-shaped pendants and, like most builder fixtures, pretty innocuous. I think they are too small for my 11’ island so want something bigger with a little more punch. Cabinets are white, brown granite (giallo verona) white subway splash with tan grout, medium brown wood floors.

I like Lamps Expo on South La Brea in Los Angeles. I went there for track lighting. I also like Artemide.

Joanieponie, I am sorry I got busy and didnt come back to your thread.

I have been thinking about your pendants. Here are some images to see if they tickle your fancy

Localeater....thank you. I like what you posted.

We ordered pendants, sconces and a foyer chandelier from Hudson Valley Lighting. This is there website but they're also available through Ferguson and other online sites.
