need help on kitchen cabinets

last modified: 6 years ago

I'm trying to paint my kitchen cabinets. they are wood cabinets. The painter before me had used latex paint and it peels very bad, collects dirt and stains, and is hard to clean. So far I've removed doors and drawers and sanded. How do I know when I can apply the bonder( if it is the correct bonder, remember im trying to advoid the peeling) and the new paint. 1.The new bonder is VALSPAR stainblocking Bonding primer/sealer. Color: Tintable white ( but it says latex interior +exterior) 2. The new paint is VALSPAR CABINET ENAMEL oil enriched paint color: Sonya orange (supposed to cover old finishes and non yellowing and clean with soap& water).
* can't figure out how to add pictures
* my cabinets right now feel chalky and it still (looks like) there is some latex paint on them - the paint before was white- but it feels smooth.
