Oooo!!! Your cross of George Washington Richardson (Mlle de Sombreuil) X (First Impression X April Mooncrest) is really interesting with that almost chartreuse color and the stuffed petal look! And the sepal jungle :) might be good for reducing midge access.

@roseseek Oh wow, I have no idea on what process the rose companies took before introducing new roses to market. I saw that ARE and RVR offer some roses that not available anywhere else so I thought that they would be willing to work with any breeder. Please provide update on your seeding, especially my three favorites!

Roseseek, I would love to see these offered by some of our favorite rose vendors. All of them are beautiful - I'm especially drawn to the singles - and that last white-ish full petaled rose beats anything being offered today. What a lovely, intricate bloom. If these are not brought into commerce, what happens to them? They can't just disappear. It would be as if the roses we love and grow in our gardens were never introduced to the public. What a sad shame that would be. Unfortunately, I don't live where teas flourish, but rosarians in warmer zones all over the world would love to grow your roses in their gardens.

Those are beautiful. I see why you say all of them are your favorite.... I pick one, then I scroll down and aha there is another new favorite.... then I go back and look at some of the others and re-choose them.... Someday someone will develop a way to send scent as opposed to just words and pics via the internet.....

Wonderful! I love the shrubby single pink from L56-1 and Grandmothers hat. It looks like a great landscape plant with the shiny dark foliage and the flowers held close on short stems. Do you use Annie Laurie McDowell as a pollen or seed parent? I was able to get her from Steve’s special budding on multiflora. She blooms constantly! I am only giving her blood meal for high nitrogen but still she just wants to bloom. I have a 16 foot long fence for her and have also given her sulfur to acidify the soil since we are slightly alkaline, which multiflora is not as happy with.

Thank you! I use ALmD as a pollen parent. In over twenty-five years, I've only found two hips on any plant of her so I go the pollen route. I'm glad you were able to get her from Steve. I would provide a complete feeding rather than just nitrogen so you have the strongest, healthiest plant. If you want her to GROW, you are going to have to start pinching flower buds. Otherwise, she will take FOREVER to make the large plant you want. You do the same thing when you thin fruit; pinch buds to produce larger exhibition flowers; prune to encourage new and stronger growth, etc. The plant is going to do what its genetics and resources/environment tell it to do. You have to encourage it to do what YOU want from it. Pinch the buds. You'll get strong shoots developing MUCH more quickly.
