The grey fad is over. So unless you really love grey spaces, maybe consider a warm white for your house. A color like Benjamin Moore’s Swiss Coffee should work for all the spaces. You can try samples.

Or you could do Swiss Coffee in kitchen and something like BM’s Ballet White in rest of house.

I like BM’s Natura line.

I agree with freedomplace1 and in addition, I would not keep the darker khaki colored ceilings either, but paint them the same colors as the wall. Or even consider the same color as the trim.

And although you didn't ask for this advice, what would Houzz be without unsolicited advice??

You could do better than that color for the pendant lights over the island.

If you really like them, you could spray paint them, otherwise, consider getting different ones.

It looks like you have a high gloss finish counter of your island, so you might want to consider not having a bare bulb to avoid the glare bouncing off the counter top.

Thank you freedom1 and loobab for your advice. I am open to lighter colors for the wall and ceiling. My concern with the light white colors, would it compliment the off white/cream color with chocolate glaze kitchen cabinet?

I think so- You could take home the swatches to narrow it down and then buy some samples and paint some large foam core board (you can get them at the dollar stores) and put them up next to your cabinets and judge for yourself.

You can buy peel and stick samples from samplize but they are much smaller than a large foam core board.

You can also take off one of the doors and bring it with you to the paint store, but in any event, you still want to paint up the sample boards and put it up on the wall in your house.
