Agree - room dimensions are very helpful.

I would switch the arrangement you have now. Put the chairs on the other side under the nook & the couch where the chairs are now. Pull them closer together, away from the walls.

I would suggest a nice rug, a coffee table, a table between the chairs with a lamp & some bright art for the walls. Maybe you could have something custom made for that nook?

Can you upload a picture showing the other side of the room (ie take a picture with your back to the window looking out of the room)?

I sooo agree about flipping where the couch is now....it looks out of place since it does not FIT that area. On its own wall, it will not have to fight anything behind it and any art on the wall will only enhance it. I would put the white chair on the wall where the couch is ....and not put both of them together since they do not match. Put the chair at the window end. I would put the other one on the end of the couch and have it angled toward the window and the other chair that is there.End table between the couch and chair. Maybe find a console to fit under the gray area of the wall and a stunning piece of art to feature there.

Find pillows with all these colors from your room in them......great patterns to give more color to the room. A rug to ground the area would be nice and ground it, too.

I would put a sofa table on that window with some lamps etc and the loveseat in front of that. Chairs to either side of loveseat. A new window treatment is needed and small table...I would use glass so that it doesn't cramp the room. Find the perfect rug to tie it all together. A low bench may be nice across from the loveseat and glass table. Add some great throw pillows to all seating. Find a huge pc of rt and hang in alcove. Is patching up the alcove an option?..it dates the room and is in a really tough spot from what I can see from the pics.

In addition to the furniture arrangements suggested above, I would say paint the "alcove" the same color as the wall it is in. It does not look functional - perhaps it is filled in and used to be an opening? At any rate it should not be so obvious in the room - paint it the wall color so it will both brighten the room and not be so obvious a "flaw". I am sorry in advance if I just made a big faux pas if you love that look!

I love the colors and choices. Good for choosing small scaled furniture. Good choice for keeping the room spacious. I like the idea of switching the sofa with the chairs and like that you have chosen two different color chairs. It's a more interesting room.

A sofa table behind the sofa. Lower the two art pieces. A table between the chairs with a lamp. End tables each side of the sofa. Maybe wood and glass top. Coffee table, glass and iron.

Maybe low bookcases below the window, not covering the glass. Add 3 fabulous colored clear glass vases on top to the left side, all the same shape or different shapes, vary the heights. On the right side, a stack of books with one candle holder. Maybe a low swirly glass multicolored bowl. The light from the window will show some color and keep the room airy and light.

I would accent the sofa with pillows that have some light gray and white and coral, for a touch of warmth and spark. Add a seafoam green and coral print pillow on the white chair. Add a darker seafoam green and white pillow on the green chair.

I also love the niche with a darker gray is a perfect way to accent the architecture . More interesting. A great feature. If the sofa is opposite the niche, you have a balance in the room with the light and darker grays. For a simple inexpensive piece of art for the niche, I would spray paint white on a group of branches or a large driftwood piece and mount it in the wall niche. Or you could use a white iron piece there too. An artwork is always an option bringing in all your color preferences. A rug to ground the room. A print would be lovely, using grays and coral and white. or light gray and white. This would bring a bit of elegance to the room.

I've attached a picture of the other side of the room. When you walk in my front door the sitting room is to the left and dining room to the right. WOW! Look at how nicely that mirror in the dining room reflects from the window across from it. GREAT place for that. I would rather see that mirror alone on that wall. IF the two side ornaments stay, they need to be lowered to about the half way part of the side panel.

Seeing more of the layout, which always helps, it might be nice if the seating area has a rug that almost fits that entire space just to give it a different feel and make it more a ROOM than an area that gets walked beside.

I think maybe the mirror may not be center of the wall. Adjust everything to center and move the candles down and a little closer to the mirror (horizontal center of the mirror center). I think you could move the art lower. center of art about 60 - 62" from the floor:)

Maybe the candles sconces might look best with the art. Leave the mirror as the focal of that wall
