Our previous home had a vaulted ceiling in the primary bath that was about 11 feet to the peak. We had a shower that was about 4x5 feet with an inoperable skylight. It was never a problem-no drafts or cold spots. We also had a heated floor which I highly recommend.. the house was near Chicago so there were cold winters.

I think it depends on your location. We have a huge shower in Florida , without a door and 12 ft ceilings, and it’s fine. In a colder climate it might be an issue.

Ten feet in height means eight feet of glass and tile, minimum. Spell$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ and a cleaning lady

The good news is hot air and steam rises, Cold is not the issue, It's TWO feet , not twenty two.

Our master shower is 10 ft high, 5ft x 5ft, no issues. We are located in North Carolina.

I hate a drafty shower. I like to close the whole shower up with a full tile and glass enclosure, with a tiled ceiling. Like a steam shower construction, but you don’t necessarily need to install the steam generator. It‘s so warm, steamy, and calming.

Our ceiling height was already 10’ when we remodeled. We lowered the ceiling just over the shower to 8’ so that it would be more warm and steamy.

Doesn't sound appealing at all. Drafty, difficult to clean, lacking function. Nope, a nice big shower in which you won't knock your arms against the walls sounds good -- a tall shower? No thanks.
