Continue the new grey tile in the same direction as it was layed down the long hall (for the hall with the bathroom). As per your 1st pic. Hope that makes sense.

Yes you Can change the direction. Nothing wrong with doing that.

no you don't need a solid color bridge between the two. Do you have a bridge between

carpet and tile - no. Just butt up to each other.

Why are you changing direction?

I thought it would make the long bathroom hall look larger going lengthwise rather than going side to side. The length of these planks makes it seem choppy to me. I appreciate this feedback!

I don't think they are tiling the bathroom.

Switch direction when the transition is to go with the length of a room. Otherwise you will have many short pieces. The above picture works but it’s a small space. A hall should run long.

Here's an idea.

Lay the tile out in one direction, then the other, I'm sure you have bits left over you could use and see which looks best. You could post a pic if you can.

My just FYI! We are putting new tile into the bathroom. Direction and transition is the basic purpose for the thread. Thanks for all the feedback .

okay. Then keep the direction of the tile going all the same way. No changes in direction because you are turning to another hall, or going in the bathroom. It should all flow.
