Cool house. The garage doors don't work with the style though - and the shutters are inappropriate for a MCM type house. Both your garage doors and shutters are cottage style - not MCM. Landscaping would go a long way.

@denita thanks for the thoughts and suggestions. There aren’t any shutters on the windows- those are three adjacent window panels. I agree about the garage doors! What would you suggest? We have to choose landscaping carefully due to regulations regarding wildfire risk. I am open to thoughts on what might look nice without planting too close to the house.

Wow...those outside window panels look like shutters on one of the pics, but I see from the other pic that it's a triple window.

I like that your garage doors blend in so a simple non-paneled door would work in the same color that you have now. Or you could consider something with a modern flair:

For landscaping, check in with the houzz landscaping subforum. I would go for low ground cover but that might not work with your restrictions.
