MadPlanter ... yes, 'Goodness Gracious' I've long been eyeing, 'Emerald Charger' I just might order up as well, it's time for a whopper hosta order, lol.

Lindaiana, indeed it's 'June', finally am getting her to establish. I was given the one next to it and labeled as 'Fragrant Bouquet' I believe. Funny, at first this hosta was not to my liking, though has much grown on me and it lights up the bed making it POP!

Prairiemoon2, I have another 'June' that sits sulking and will move it a bed I'm revamping. I have 'First Frost' and it has done exceedingly well and time to divide and make more!

FrozeBudd, your hosta selection looks perfect and balanced right now. It may be time to sit back and enjoy it. The color transitions are harmonious and the plants look healthy.

That said, I think Brother Stefan is very pretty, as well as Beyond Glory. They are yellow-centered, similar sized, but very different in texture and overall appearance. Avocado and Stained Glass are great in my garden. World Cup has good color, substance and shape, though it may be a little slow.

I don't know how new you are thinking of, but two that were introduced in 2008 that I really love are Ripple Effect and Curly Fries. They are both small plants, but are doing really well in my garden. For a stunning tall vase-shaped hosta, I would suggest Spotlight. It's bright gold-green and loves the sun.

Royal Tiara is just stunning. Remember Me is a beautiful banana yellow in the spring, later turns to cream. Blue Jay is not that small, but is a stunning waxy blue. Ivory Queen is a beauty, if slow-growing. Those are a few which come to mind.

Undertheoaks, I had hummed and hawed placing those varieties next to one another, they must play very well together or rub shoulders elsewhere! 'Brother Stefan' has been on my wish list for several years now and 'Beyond Glory' really calls!

Loisfian, your two suggestions 'Ripple Effect' and 'Curly Fries are great for fronting and setting off some of the larger specimens and doesn't everyone love a good yellow such as 'Spotlight'!

Esther-B, 'Royal Tiara' sure is a different little beauty and 'Remember Me' glows, I've seen this one at the nurseries. Gosh, 'Ivory Queen', what a gem that is!

I got Beyond Glory last year and like it but too soon to tell how well it grows. I really like The King with its tall vase like ruffled leaf shape and great color transition on the edge with multiple shades. I'm not sure if I like it better in spring or summer.

And Wave Runner with its ruffled leaves and soft light green leaves with a variety of colors in the margins.

Krossa Regal is a superb addition to any garden. Mine is only 2nd year. Paradise Joyce is lovely right I front of KR. It’s in the June family.

I also love Dream Queen. People say it’s a slow grower, but here’s mine in third year.

Um, is your large hosta flowering in the picture? Or there is another behind it? FB has large near white flowers.

There has been significant amount of new hostas bred in last 20 years and it is speeding up. It seems you can not beat what is out there and then new one shows up even more stunning. I would suggest checking with you local hosta society and going on few gardens tours. Personally I was surprised many times how nice some hostas look in person.
