finally renovating our kitchen and need to repaint other areas of the house as well. Before the renovation my living room dining room was a peach and it worked well. I need to repaint and I thought I should stay with peach- maybe a little darker or lighter - but it works with the furnishings and is fun. The dilemma is the living room leads to a hallway and the hallway flows into the kitchen and family room. I have porcelain tiles that are a marble look. I thought I would do a soft, yet crisp grey for the back hallway that carries through to the family room and then white for the rest of the family room. But I am concerned that the grey will not good when viewed from the living room with the peach framing in so to speak. i was considering SW Repose Grey or maybe SW Eider White. I'm wondering if maybe I should go for SW Eider White in the back hallway that carries through to the kitchen and the family room. But would Eider White look okay next to a wall that is SW Pure White? Which makes me think I should rethink the lr/dr peach but I can't handle all the ripple effects of how coordinating with my furnishings. The family is rather sentimental about the peach! I don't have a designer I am on my own here. Advice?
1st pic is curret lr/dr with old peach color and some spackle from new sheetrock. Sliding door will be painted white. Yellow wall is the back hallway (long story of why yellow but that is being repainted) 2nd photo is view from the back hallway to give perspective. You can see part of the dr wall and our unfinished pantry and how it leads to the kitchen/family room. 3rd photo is view from the hallway again but gives more of a view of the back hallway wall into the fr (all the yellow will be repainted). Forgive the mess but those are the contents of our kitchen that needed to be unloaded during reno. Last pic is a bit of the new kitchen cabinet and just to give an idea of how it all flows together. So, should I go for Eider White in the back hallway and the family room? or just on that back wall and sw pure white elsewhere? Last pic shows the other family room wall - still yellow now - and it's also quite open to our other hallway that leads to the bedrooms. Ignore the clutter and furnishings because that will be moved and rearranged etc. The main questions now are: peach in lr/dr? Grey like Eider White or Repose Grey for the back hallway? What to paint the family room? or just stick with white everywhere except the lr/dr? or reconsider the peach idea? Going crazy here!
