I think this has been a bad year for leaf spot for lots of people. It was really bad for me. I grow my tomatoes in food grade stock tanks, and I rotate them every year. I don't know if that helps at all, since that means there's only 1 year in-between where tomatoes have been, since I only have so many stock tanks. (Can't use the ground because of leg/back problems and I can't lean down to the ground anymore). But, I was wondering about the cages I have, made out of concrete reinforcing wire. They're very substantial and I have been using them for about 17 years now. Would it help at all with the leaf spot to somehow clean them down every year, like with something fairly non-toxic and that would be gone by the next spring? I leave them out over the winter, but wasn't sure what kinds of diseases could still survive?

I've learned at the beginning of the seasons to not plant close together, and to prune out the lower branches, so they get more ventilation....but still, the leaf spot went crazy.
