Some pictures of what is happening would be helpful to assess what’s going on. After looking at the hosta in the library, I can see why their not opening would be a concern. Has anything changed? Has it always bloomed before? Has it been moved? Light conditions changed? Extremely hot, wet or dry weather? Tell us more.

Looks like all the photos in the library are from the professionals. I'd write/email Josh Spece (http://www.inthecountrygardenandgifts.com/ or Chris Wilson (perennialnursery.com) and ask advice, as each has a photo of a flower on the hostalibary. Given it's not a common plant, that would be my first inclination.

(Perennial Nursery is now closed, but Chris does answer emails even though it might take a few days.)
