Are you opposed to white? Hale Navy can look so nice with white.

These were one suggestion online.

Thank you so much for your response! I don't want white even though it's beautiful. I have seen this palette and I'm leaning towards that montpelier. It's pretty interesting. I was just looking for something not cookie cutter. Appreciate you helping me out :)

You're welcome, Lisa. I'm not a pro so maybe they'll see this and weigh in. Hale Navy is such a nice color. Where in/on the house are you using it?

Orange, kelly green, turquoise, pink, yellow... Any of these colors pure or toned down could work.

Hi Lisa.. in which room will you be using the Hale Navy? Small or large room? natural light or no? Are you looking to use the accent color on accessories or an entire wall? If bringing in an accent color with accessories I really love the idea of the bright, tropical coral colors that Kristy mentioned - totally fresh!

It will be the exterior and the the kitchen cabinets (base) and possibly an accent in the coffered ceilings. So I’m looking for a fresh color for the main part of the house. I love the coral for accents. It's a very open floor plan in a very beachy area so I am definitely looking for airy and light.

Love it! One thought for the coffered ceilings.. have your painter customize the color by cutting it with white.. the lighter color will keep the ceilings from feeling “low” and will still accent and pick up the cabinet color.

They are very high ceilings. I think it will be ok but it’s a good idea if it’s too dark.

I painted my exterior Stonington grey which looks Amazing with Hale navy door and shutters.

I have Hale Navy, Smoke, Van Courtland Blue, and Stonington Grey in nearby spaces.

I’ve had this favorited for a long time. Love the chartreuse with dark blue.

The hale navy is the accent color.. kitchen cabinets and the ceiling inset (possibly). So it's the wall color I am stuck on. I don't want it be just a simple gray. I feel like I need something with a bit of punch because of the open floor plan.

So something with a punch of colour but still light and airy for the walls? That’s tough. I like the Montpelier mentioned above for a light and airy feel. I like the Jamaican dream in my previous post, but possibly lightened to some degree to still give a ‘light feel’?

We used hale navy on our exterior. I wanted a salmon or coral door but DH wanted to lean more pink. Since I picked hale navy I let him pick the door. Ignore the landscaping. I

I love that coral & navy palette so much! We are thinking of Hale Navy for our exterior, and the only thing that gives me pause about a coral door is that it would not look good with seasonal /holiday wreaths.

I am putting in white wIns coating in bathroom with brown gray wood look floor and white wall in shower. One window and oak vanity I was thinking of hale navy for walls. Not much wall space. What do you think thank you Jeanie

What a difference a year makes.... changed most of my ideas above with the exception of the hale navy exterior which ended up being gorgeous!! I also did it in the ceiling of my master and my office and couldn't be happier!! Good luck with your projects!

This was taken right after we moved in. We decided to go with a wood door with a dark stain. I'll see if I can find a better picture :) We have done a ton of landscaping to the front of the house so it looks a lot different now.

@Lisa thanks so much for this! We considered a stained door but have a painted door there already that is a great door and don't want to replace. Doing HN with white trim, and my color person wants me to do SW dragon fruit on the door....very bold but she thinks it's the right move for the house - good punch factor. We are in a coastal New England town, so I htink it will work?? Guess easy to change too! love your .navy and white! Gorgeous! Thx!! Beth

Beth--- this is just my 2 cents but I would not do that color on the front door. I live in a neighborhood of over 2000 homes in sunny Florida. We can pretty much paint our homes any color we want. I see all the homes who have done the pop of color for the front door and 9 out of 10 times it doesn't work. All you notice is the door. I find it takes away from the home instead of adding value to it. When we were trying to decide on our color my fiancee actually made renditions of the home. He would add different colors to the door so we could see how it would look. Maybe take a picture of your house and upload it to SW and use their paint tool and see how it would look.

@Beth Roy well i’ll disagree with lisa. i think dragon fruit could look amazing with hale navy. its actually more in line with what i orginally wanted on my door. it really does depend on your home though. maybe start your own thread for help on color.

@rkandrh Let me check with my fiance' . We just added a 2 car garage and had it stoned to match so he should know exactly what we ordered.
