Need opinions on which wall the tv should be hung from. We’re in the middle of a basement renovation and are questioning where we should put the tv. The basement Rec room will be an open space with three main zones: large games like foosball and pop a shot, media/lounge, and table for crafts and board games. We had planned to put the lounge area with tv in the middle of the long wall of the room (as pictured in the floor plan) but now I’m wondering if we should put the lounge at one end of the room, with the tv hanging on the short wall. So the table would then go in the middle of the room. My rationale for the short wall is that it seems like the tv would be easier to see from any of the zones. My husband thinks keeping the lounge area in the middle of the long wall (and the middle of the room) makes more sense and would also enable us to add a counter with stool seating if needed behind the couch. The black marks highlighted in pink are support posts. Also, not sure if it matters but the table will be roughly a 3x5’ rectangular table, not round as pictured. Would appreciate any thoughts!
