Repair or replace 30" DCS gas range (duel fuel-approx 21 years old)

An oven heating element on my approximately 21 y/o DCS 30" gas range (duel fuel with electriratuec oven) blew out last week. I'm debating if the range has reached it's expected lifespan and should be repalced vs repair. I have a service call schedule for this week for my dishwasher and range so I'll get an estimate then.

I had actually only scheduled to have a "tune up" for my range as it seemed maybe it wasn't keeping a constant temp. This range was in my house when I purchased it 11 years ago. Over that time, I've tried to get service for a tune up a few times, but no one in the area would service DCS when I called. Now that DCS was bought out by Fisher Paykel it seems the appliance store I use now may be willing to service it. The question is, is it even worth it?

We'll see what they say when they look at it. Tomorrow I'll go into the store and explore what newer options are available. It seems the newer professional type ranges are easier to keep clean--food is forever falling into the grates on mine. Also, as long as I've owned it, the self cleaning oven function has not worked as the locking mechanism was broken. I could consider a more moderately priced Bosch or maybe even the 30" thermador. Both would be serviced by the local appliance store.
