Please. Someone give me your favorite of these paint colors. I would appreciate it very much!

I don't like any of them. They're reading too blue-grey and "cold" on my monitor.

Sort of agree. Was going to vote #2 for its slight warmth.

Are you painting these on white paper? because I'm not sure that will give you the real effect of painting on the wall...

Is there a problem with the creamy existing color? is this being painted just for sales purposes? Is it currently all one color or various colors?

It is currently the yellow it was painted in 1993. Yes. The yellow has to go. Everything being done to it is meant to help it sell. It is like it was in 1993 and not well cared for so roof(also original) to floor everything is being re-done/updated.

I am painting on clear adhesive sheets called Sure Swatch from Home Depot. Completely clear.

Would it be safe to say you all would prefer warm undertones vs cool?

Please feel free to suggest your favorite subtle color for this project. I know pictures are hard to work from. Please remember I need something subtle, but I don't want to have completely white walls. Just a touch of color is all I need. I was going for greige. I may not have succeeded based on your comments, but I would love to know which you would suggest. The whole house will be 1 color so I would like to get it right:) Thank you all for your comments! Sherman williams worldly grey.

Take the Cook's Kitchen suggestion. Any of those look better than your choices. Personally I'd go for Natural Choice as it's the lightest.

Edgecombe Gray is a very neutral Griege that might work

Popular gray from Sherwin Williams is a very pretty warm greige. Sorry it's not on your list, I didnt care for any of those.

If you haven't done any of the work yet, any thought to replacing the roof and flooring and letting the new owner redo the interior spaces to their preferences?

Whichever is the closest to white. No grey or grey toned.

Try SW Modern Gray, A light warm beige gray. We used SW Alabaster for trim, doors, cabinets.

I think Dove Wing can work. It's warmer than it appears in your photo since you're looking at it on a yellow surface. Anything in the warm white tones are fine - just stay away from gray.

Accessible beige is perfect!

I was going to say what calidesign just said. I think your photo is making your samples look. Oiler than they actually are. Dove wing is a warm off white. See photo below comparing popular whites. I’ve also added a photo of a dining room. I think it has the colour way of what your trying to achieve and I think flooring looks similar.

I agree with rmsaustin. My son is in the process of buying a townhouse. The color choices are very bold - some folks might love them; he is not a fan. He was easily able to look past the wall colors to the great features of the property, and plans to paint the dark blue and yellow walls as soon as he moves in.

I think it's really hard to anticipate the tastes and desires of a mythical buyer. reduce the price by the cost of painting, and let the new owners figure it out.

Take a look at BM White Dove, it has warm creamy undertones, and looks great in all kinds of light.

I vote with The Cook's Kitchen and rrah, SW Natural Choice--or also consider SW Neutral Ground

I like chantilly lace. But I also like BM Distant Gray. It is a white

I am not going to pass a house by because I don't like the color of the paint.

I will definitely take a pass on something that needs a roof, because I've hired a roofer before. It was hard enough here, where I've lived for years and I knew people who could give me recommendations. If I was moving to a new town, no way.

I'm 63. I can handle a paintbrush and roller. That's the fun part of owning a house. In my opinion, you're re-arranging deck chairs on the Titanic.

I would like to suggest a different one. I find it one of the most beautiful colors to use throughout the house. With Chantilly lace, it will be a winner.

B.M. Collingwood. It is in the OC collection, so considered an off-white. Its complimentary colors give a nod to your granite and floors.

Strongly suggest you paint large enough sections of the walls with white primer to test your paint samples. Looking at samples on yellow paint is not a good idea.

I agree with Collingwood. Lovely color that is a perfect backdrop that goes with everything. It will look fresh, clean and move in ready.

Have you spoken with a real estate agent about which changes are expected and most helpful to sale? If the paint is in bad condition, then absolutely it needs to be repainted, but if it's just the color, find out if the color you have is really all that polarizing. If all the walls are the same color, I'm probably repainting no matter what, especially if it's white. My dad is a huge white wall person (if he says a wall is "Café au Lait", you can bet there's a whole lot of 'lait'), but he's unlikely to reject a house because it has colorful walls. When a friend was selling, they had some vibrantly colored bedrooms, only one of the three was recommended to be repainted (it was Caribbean blue, if anyone wants to know ... the orange walls stayed, and I think the other one was dark green or navy). So yes, color does matter, but not all colors are detrimental.

Me too! Not only hate it, but am terrible at it -- probably because I hate it.

I just spent a little time looking at images.google.com to see how these look compared to some colors I have actually used, and I think any of your choices are great. They may not look griege against the yellow background, but when googling, they're very griege - so you're right on target with the look your going for. Full disclosure, Benjamin Moore is my go-to paint, so I would lean toward Classic Gray. I've never actually used it, but it has made my short list when picking colors many times.. Personally, I like gray a lot, and would have been really happy to move into a home with any of the colors you've chosen, and I think whichever one you choose will make a beautiful backdrop in your on-line photos. What is wrong with using the Chantilly Lace as shown in the picture? I much prefer that to all that gray.

I am in a similar boat. Current color is a similar gold, which we dislike. Having spent the past week worrying over colors, I do like Benjamin Moore much better. I think the gold walls throw color on the samples, and the night to day change is huge. I like your granite. So far my top picks are Calm, White Dove, Cloud White, Dover White, Dove Wing. They seem to be very popular whites, that do not go yellow, or green. A griege would be great also, and I personally believe a beautiful shade of white means a buyer has more choices in colors without repainting. Gold is out and dated.

Classic Gray looks beige in my house. There's enough gray in it that it doesn't look yellow, and it's the right yellow where it doesn't shift red or green (to me) as the lighting changes.

If you don't want to commit to painting your walls, I recommend painting your samples on a primed piece of drywall.

Go for SW Accessible Beige as someone has above - a touch of warmth, but still a "greige"

Answering lots of questions as I’ve been working my real estate sales business non-stop in this super busy market.
The real estate agent I consulted with for color is me. I know gray is still in here in my market but is totally out in others that my clients live in (I sell lots of second homes being at the beach.) so it will be out here soon and whites are on the rise here. I don’t want someone to be stuck with gray but do not want to lose the buyers in my area that still love it so I was going for greige or an off-white. I’ve settled on BM White Dove for walls and BM Chantilly Lace for cabinets and trim throughout. I want a soothing color with a good LRV as home tends to be dark inside. I’m doing what I can to help with additional lighting too. This is a total renovation: roof, windows, opening kitchen some, all new countertops, all new flooring throughout, etc.... I just want a nice color that is a good backdrop for the Buyers things. The Buyer can personalize to their taste as they decide what they want to do. I just want to avoid one thinking “I can’t move in with that paint.” Which they would definitely do with 1993 yellow, and that is the best color in the house! LOL! This house has a bunch of sherbert-themed colors like dreamsicle orange(yuk). You have all been so helpful! It will be 2-3 weeks, but I will post pictures of the paint when it is done!
