pull the bed and tables a tiny bit away from the wall, hang a curtain rod at the ceiling that runs the length of the wall and put up curtains that hang to the floor. I'd use ring clips to attach curtains to rod and then you can just open and close the curtains at night.

We have a similar setup and use inside mount blackout cellular shades. I got the cord loop but it’s a pain to use - should have stuck with a regular cord.

Agree, drapery will fix the problem. You may even want to go wall to wall, floor to ceiling as

the window extends past the headboard and if you are extending the drapes a few inches each side, it probably will look better right across the wall.

What about a face fit roman blind? Less fussy than drapes and can be pulled up to allow light in during the day. They could be mounted high enough so no window was obscured in the day

Roman blinds are a pain. I once had one that length and it bowed in the middle.

2 would look odd., trying to get it to be level with the other. I would pass.

Hanging the slats vertically was a great idea.

Really shutters my last choice especially in a bedroom the drapes are IMO perfect for both a nice back drop to the pretty bed and I always like drapes in a bedroom they add to the softness of the space and in your case also make the window look larger and black all the light.

I had a similar window above my bed and used an outside mounted Roman shade with remote control. I loved it!

What do you mean by "shade on outside" is that a garage the other size?

What other windows do you have in the room?

The outside shade is just a bamboo blind we hung on the outside of the house .. it looks terrible but helps temporarily
