Hi Samantha. I'm a little surprised nobody's addressed your question!

Sounds to me like your bulb feels like it's had enough of a rest and wants to get going now; trying to stop that might be kind of hard on the bulb. I'd repot (fresh soil is nice), while disturbing the roots as little as possible. (Personally, I like to add a little bone meal to soil for bulbs.) And I'd bring it in, put it in as much sun as possible, keep it fertilized, and let it do what it wants. Encourage the leaves: they're what feeds the bulb that makes the flower.

Not every bulb necessarily wants to go "dormant," as in drying up all its leaves. Just not-growing is resting/dormancy.

Others may have other advice! There are lots of different ideas about how to grow amaryllises.

Mine grow in the grow in the ground in Florida. I have at least 100 in the ground. Very few lose all their leaves. A few do but most hold on to them and grow more. Most bloom in April, some bloom during July.

My guess would be to just follow the bulb. If its still growing, just keep watering.
