If you purchased it today that is the value it has. Since the company name was changed to Bassett in 1997 it was manufactured before that. It is from the style mid 1980s or later.

It doesn't look super old (is that an outlet?) but what a great wardrobe! Gotta love all the nicely finished interior cubbies. Excellent acquisition, I think.

Those doors have an interesting construction. The second photo shows the door edge and it has 3 layers of wood - a clue. I do not think that the decoration on the outside was router cut. The interior corners are too sharp. I think the doors were made from 3 layers and bonded together. The main door is a plain flat board. The outside and inside details were cur separately and bonded/fastened to the door. Some parts could have been oversize and then the final edges of the assembly machined to give a nice fine finished appearance and accurate dimensions. Its a very nice piece of work.

I have the same one. It was part of a set called "Maison Ferme" or similar. I have the 5 piece bedroom set. It came from N. Carolina. While in transit for delivery to Ca, 1993-94, the manufacturer burned down. Ironically, I just decided to get rid of my set. Beautiful piece, enjoy!

A matching dresser

I have that same armoire. I bought mine in the early 90's. I have been thinking about selling mine, if you don't mine my asking, what did you pay for yours? It is well made, beautiful wood, excellent condition as we store blankets and pillows in ours only. Beautiful workmanship, so I don't know what it would be worth today.
