Looking for advice on oven/microwave/speed oven

Hello everyone. We are looking to replace a Jennair built-in oven/microwave/speed oven (model jmw3430ws, to be exact). Unfortunately, the replacement Jennair models (JMW3430IL or JMW3430IM) were pulled last year from the Canadian market for some unknown reason, and I've been told not to expect them to be available anytime soon. As a result, we're considering the Cafe CTC912P2NS1 or the Samsung NQ70M7770DS.

Because we can't easily change the size of the cabinet opening, we're limited to units that have a single control panel. This excludes options like the Bosch, Thermador and other 2-panel units.

Would anyone have any experience with the 2 models we're considering? It seems the Samsung has more features (steam, ability to divide the main oven into 2), but I'm concerned about the brand reliability. We'd also be open to other brands if there is a sense that they would be a better choice.

Thanks in advance!

Except for the control panel, the Samsung NQ70M6650DS appears to be identical to the Samsung NQ70M7770DS and costs $600 less. If you read the reviews of these ovens on Home Depot, the major problem seems to be with the self-clean, which of course you don't have to use.

Thank you for this info. Unfortunately, that model doesn't appear to be available in Canada. We seem to have a more limited selection up here.

Thank you again. Do you have any personal experience with any of these models? If so, which one would you recommend (or, alternatively, suggest we avoid)?

Nope, I'd read the user spec sheets and manuals online to find out the features and usability. I'd read the owners' reviews on sites such as Home Depot, Best Buy, and Lowes; that KitchenAid model has over 1000 reviews on Home Depot. Get recommendations and category-brand-reliability information from Consumer Reports (http://www.consumerreports.org/join - $10/month/digital). Pick one and then don't obsess over the decision.

I'm getting an Advantium for my new build. No experience with it yet but most people seem to like them.

I have w;hat appears to be the same or similar KA ovens that wdcruise linked above. The microwave section does have real convection BUT it is not actually a speed oven because it is not set to run microwaves while actually heating (unless the newer models have been reconfigured, and I didn't see that in a quick look of specs.

@chas045: "it is not actually a speed oven because it is not set to run microwaves while actually heating..."

This is not correct. The features list for the KitchenAid KOCE500ESS on the Home Depot (US) website states:

"Microwave Convection Cooking in the upper oven

"Combines the power of a 900 watt microwave with a 1600 watt convection element to increase the speed of cooking and provide a secondary convection option."
